Green Greetings...

I have always been interested in the natural world and have known for many years that I view
things differently than most people.  It is that different way of looking at things that originally
made me ask
why and what about and drove me to explore the worlds of cultural diversity,
the environment and women's spirituality.  These interests have led me on many journeys
of exploration and discovery that have taken me around the world and back again.

I have explored many areas with a passion for the way a people's world view is translated into
everyday activities and spiritual beliefs...  how what they believe relates to the way they live their lives.
This is called
Cosmology and the areas I am drawn to and passionate about are the
Feminine Divine  and how the natural world is used to heal both body and spirit...
what we call Herbalism and Energy Medicine.

Over the past 15 years, I have focused exclusively on studying Women's Spirituality
and the science of herbs as medicine, the ancient ways of the village wise woman.
I have studied formally in degree and certificate programs and also served as an apprentice
gaining hands-on experience from
Wise Women who are both Herbalists and Priestesses.

I have studied feminist theory and Goddess Her-story as well as rituals of the Feminine Divine...
Anatomy of the human body and herbs for each body system as well as walking
the mountains and fields wild-crafting and making plant medicines and...
most importantly,
learning how these 2 areas --
our natural world
and our spirituality --
are inexplicably linked...
...for the plants that nourish and heal
are but a part of our Mother's Body...
the Feminine Divine made manifest.

As a further extension of my desire to know and understand the natural world,
especially its system of energy, I pursued the study of
Reiki
and became a Reiki Master Teacher.

I now call home 18 beautiful acres in the Uwarrhie Mountains of Central North Carolina.
I share this magickal space with my partner of 36 years, 10 kitty companions,
a multitude of plant and animal spirits and the fairies and devas of the land.

Currently we are in the process of creating teaching gardens where
wise women,
wise men and wise children can come and commune with the plants, learn their
healing secrets, learn how to create sustainability in their own lives
and experience hands-on the power of  the natural world.
